CS Reema Jain – The unstoppable woman

Q.1) How are you able to manage everything so well. You run a blog, practice as a CS, are an independent director and still able to take out time for sessions and conventions.
~ It’s all in the mind. Just plan and execute and you will definitely get the results.
Q.2) Was the transition from English to Commerce difficult and how did you deal with it?
~ During 11th and 12th, I was a commerce student anyways, so it wasn’t a transition actually. Besides, I have always been interested in law and related subjects. So I am doing my like and getting results.
Q.3) What do you think is your superpower which helped you achieve so much in so less time?
~ (laughing) I haven’t achieved yet. There is so much to do. Yet, I believe it is the support of my family, especially my sisters who are my pillars of strength, helping me work through everything. Also, my little cousin Ishika Bhansali with her innocence, gets me to work more hard and worry less.
Q.4) Who are the people you look upto ?
~ Foremost, it is my Dad’s CA, Shri.Bhagwan Gupta.I have always seen him working tirelessly, reading regularly and keeping himself updated. He is the first person I went to meet after filling my CPT form. He has taught me different angle of approaching the course.
Another person is Mr. Jay Chhaira for his academic credentials and knowledge.
Q.5) What is life according to you?
~ Just two words- It’s me. I believe every person’s life is different. There is no point drawing inspiration from others, it’s about how you carve out your life. Yes, people can guide you. But in the end it is upto you to do what you want to do.
I did English Honours for my undergraduation. After first year, during a conversation with my cousin who was  pursuing CA, I realized this was what I wanted to do. Being inclined towards law subjects, I enrolled in CS later.
Currently, I am a practicing Company Secretary, independent director in Bodycare International Ltd and Atlas Jewelery India Ltd and visiting professor at BML Munjal University. By next year, I will be finishing my LLB and also CA, if all goes well.
As a speaker at conventions, I knew I had to be good with my subject and everything else would fall into place. That’s how quite a few conventions happened. Thereafter, I went on to become a  judge and session expert, that too at the same very stage. It was tables turning around and definitely satisfying.
Every single day we have various experiences and listen to expressions of variety of people, their highs and lows, ups and downs. This motivated me to start a blog called ‘Expressing my Expressions’. It is a lifestyle blog and has been associated with many brands from past 7 years.
Talking about my future plans, I would like to share something once told to me. One thing is Complacency and other is Satisfaction. If you are Satisfied with what you have, you’ll never go on to achieve more or have room for improvement. But, in light of both, don’t be complacent, be satisfied with whatever and everything that you do. Just don’t stop doing.
Always remember no use worrying about future, live life as it is now yet never stop working for your goals.
